Postseason Track
Postseason (Track and Field)
While the Westminster Track and Field Club is a Recreational Program, on rare occasions we have our most talented and dedicated athletes compete beyond the end of the regular season. This requires considerable time and effort for both coaches as well as athletes, along with interstate travel should the athlete advance to the AAU Jr Olympics.
Here is what the Westminster Track and Field Club *REQUIRES* in order to consider postseason training:
Athlete + Parents willing to pursue the postseason *ALL THE WAY* to AAU Nationals Jr Olympics (it is unfair to qualify in our region and have no intention of proceeding to competition at the National level)
Coach willing to train with the Athlete after the season officially closes
Athlete secures AAU Membership 2 weeks before registering for Districts ($20) (Link to register) (Note: Register as an 'unattached' athlete - Westminster Track and Field Club does NOT maintain an AAU Club Membership)
If your athlete is willing to follow the progression of meets all the way to Nationals, and a coach has reached out to you review the meets that you will be REQUIRED to attend should you advance:
